Space within the Real

Multi - sensory installation work, 2001.

Video, multi-channel sound, roses, light, mirrors, text, textiles, scent.

This final project for my MA involved taking my seafront flat in Brighton, gutting it and creating a journey through it for the public during the Brighton International Festival.

Over 500 visitors experienced the work over three weekends. I spent the entire time cooking and serving Persian food as part of the work.

Richard Harding and Clare Norbury developed a site-specific performance along the corridor section (above). Fredrik Lloyd, who curated the garden texts, gave a poetry reading and the artist gave a talk.
