The Hidden Hand
animated short film, 8 mins, Super 8, 1994
 
A multi-layered lyrical journey from West to East. This debut film used my own drawings, paintings and found objects to explore the Iranian side of my cultural identity. I experimented with a wide range of animation techniques and discovered for the first time the magic of working with the moving image.

The film won Special Mention for Innovative use of animation at the Viva 8! Festival, London 1995 and was screened at The British Short Film Festival 1995, The Cardiff Animation Festival and various other film festivals in the UK.

Tabula Rasa,
Projections on the Croydon Skyline. Croydon 2002

This group show featured over seventy contemporary fine art films by forty international artists. The films were projected onto various buildings across the Croydon skyline and at the Parfitt Gallery.
They were then shown as part of the LUX OPEN at the RCA in 2003 .
